In 2023, Jidu unveiled the ROBOVERSE Sanlitun Experience Center in Beijing China, heralding a new era of innovation and creativity at the intersection of automotive excellence and digital ingenuity.


This cutting-edge centre offers a seamless blend of physical and digital experiences, combining immersive product showcases, captivating digital displays, brand showcases, artistic spaces, and a plethora of interactive features, all centered around Jidu's ROBOCAR — the company's hyper-intelligent, AI-driven, autonomous EV-vehicle.

CHALLENGE

The industry for EV-vehicles is highly competitive, and more so in China. But while EV-vehicles are evolving at the speed of light, retail spaces seem to be stagnated in the past. Media.Monks is tasked to change that, to provide JIDU an entire in-store online-to-offline connected experience for the flagship store. To do so, we collaborated with Jidu and Gensler to innovate beyond a sales-focus showroom.


By putting visitors in the driver's seat of the retail experience, Jidu revolutionised the way we interact with the space and the vehicles.

Through a captivating WeChat personality test, users unveil their ROBOAVATAR; the user's idealised self within the ROBOVERSE. Each Avatar is intricately linked to Jidu's cutting-edge ROBOCAR, designed in collaboration with the talented 3D artist UV朱.


Within the Experience Centre, avatars engage with digital touchpoints and teleport between real and digital worlds. They guide and explore Jidu's innovative technologies alongside the user. With QR codes as gateways, users effortlessly transition between virtual art, coffee orders, and deep dives into Jidu's pioneering advancements, harmonising the digital and physical retail landscapes with ease.
